  1. WOW. Just seeing Myrtle getting walked to the plane conveyor seems scary to me.. but guess in reality these things are incredible sturdy.
Im thinking maybe make some pre-attached "carry handle" straps. suggesting places for the crew to pick-up safely. Im really wanting to travel with my Gekko, but worried about having to break it down for a flat case.. now you got me thinking I can get away with collapsing the boom and ship it.

    1. Following your lead, I tried to fly with Alaska Airlines out of Juneau with my ICE trike, and they said no way unless I packaged it up. I had to build a 25 pound "cage" of pvc and shrink wrap mounted on a skateboard to put it on the plane. It took me weeks to build the cage, and hours to put it together once I built it. I don't know how you managed to just roll up with your trike and get them to take it.

    2. Wow - that's too bad - I wonder why? I've never had anyone at Alaska even question me about the trike. I roll up, they check it, sometimes they charge a checked bag fee and we are done. There's been a couple of international flights that wanted me to put the trike in a box. I show a baggage handler how much easier the trike rolls without a box and they are happy. I know someone else that flew out of Alaska and they didn't have any problems. Maybe you got an angry check-in person?
